T's all I have to bring to-day,
This, and my heart beside,
This, and my heart, and all the fields,
And all the meadows wide.
Be sure you count, should I forget, ~
Some one the sum could tell, ~
This, and my heart, and all the bees
Which in the clover dwell.

~ Emily Dickinson

  1. Lorna, take heart...our friend Emily, also said:

Hope is the thing with feathers
    That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
    And never stops at all...

When we miss those no longer with us, or try to state the vastness of our love, and feel all that goes with this...I think that is when we need 'the thing with feathers'.....

    1. Thank you, Maria. I wish everyone could read your words. I had never read those Emily lines.
