Fans of singer, actress Marilyn Monroe will recall that she was born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926.

Monroe's troubled life and tragic death over-shadowed the fact that she was an intelligent, gifted woman with dreams and talent that took her all the way to the American President's birthday party. She sang "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" to John Kennedy on May 18, 1962.
