View from Our WindowIf you've been to the bookshop this week you have seen the pet-shop sign.

Playing in the hobby of nostalgic paper as we do, old periodicals show up.  This one, "Sunshine Magazine" from 1970, caught my eye I suppose because of the word SUNSHINE on a particularly dreary day.

"A wise man goeth forth cheerily, through fair weather and through foul.  He knoweth his journey must be sped, so he carrieth his sunshine with him." is the magazine's tag line.

The real focus of my attention was this quaint ad for PenDelfins.  Are these not the cute little figures that bring astonishingly high prices today?

"If instead of a gem, or even a flower, we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend, that would be giving as the angels give."

~George MacDonald (1824 - 1905) Scottish author
