Niagara Falls, Ontario
 He made it!

For the first time in over one hundred years, someone has crossed the Niagara River on a high wire ~ for the very first time crossing at the brink of the Falls.
With a massive crowd watching, aerialist Nik Wallenda, of the famous Wallenda family, accomplished a life-long dream on Friday.  Walking 1800 feet through heavy mist and changing winds, he communicated with his father and safety crew through a headset. "It's an unbelievable view," he told ABC.

"Without a doubt, a man heavily influenced by his father's praise would spend the next thirty years of his life trying to earn it."

~ Peter Ackroyd, British author, referring to Charles Dickens.

While standing in front of a grand mansion, John Dickens commented to his son Charles, "If you were to be persevering and were to work hard, you might someday come to live in it."  Thirty-six years later, Charles Dickens bought the house.
