Third Thursday, May 19 ~ "Small is Great" A critical appreciation of selected very-short poetry & prose.  Dr. Alan Bishop will be presenting the topic.  Minimalist lit is generally undervalued, if not totally ignored, by critics.  Is that justifiable?  We will consider some examples of short poetry & prose; evaluating their qualities, questioning the general critical bias and considering relevant issues such as which criteria are appropriate in appreciating such writings.
