Foot And a Half Drop Into Loose Rubble Saturday Morning
The Neat Little Bookshop was closed most of Friday and all day Saturday.  We cannot explain why a retail business would be left in these conditions for a weekend but there we are.

Today, we will once again contact the county project manager, our councillor and the contractor to see what can be done to reopen on Wednesday.  Meanwhile, we apologize for the inconvenience.  We experienced a visitor stepping into mid-air on Saturday, having forgotten the two foot drop.  There will be no entry to the shop until repairs.

Thanks, Geroge.  Great Rig~!

"Here stand my books, line upon line
They reach the roof, and row by row,
They speak of faded tastes of mine,
And things I did, but do not, know.

~ Andrew Lang [1844 - 1912] Ballade of His Books.  Stanza 1

"We marvel, now we look behind:
Life's more amusing than we thought!

~ Andrew Lang, Ballade of Middle Age. Stanza 1

"You can cover a great deal of country in books."

CLOSED FOR THE SECOND DAY ~ This is a foot-and-a-half drop into rubble.  We cannot explain as a small business why the county contract leaves us in these conditions.  We apologize to our customers and friends for any inconvenience and invite the Mayor, the Councillors and the County Project Manager to visit the small businesses in Cayuga.
