Duff Gibson ~ 2006 Gold Medalist

We cannot let the 2010 Olympics go by without being reminded of our favorite Olympic Gold Winner. Growing up, Duff Gibson spent many of his holidays across the street from us in Cayuga, Ontario. His Grandparents, Mary and Gerry Duff were our friends and neighbours.

"Duffy," as we know him, remains the oldest gold medalist in an individual event in winter Olympic history. He won the gold medal in the men's skeleton race in 2006 in Torino at the age of 39.

Previously winning two world championship medals: gold in 2004 in Germany and bronze in 2005 in Calgary, Canada.

This wonderful book is available through the historical society. We will be bringing to you much more information, including the contact name and number ~ we just want to give you a sneak preview!
