Stories Along the Grand is now available at the Neat Little Bookshop in Cayuga. Published by The York Grand River Historical Society, this illustrated book is a collection of writings by local historians past and present.
The many contributors ~ too many to mention here ~ are closely connected with The Grand River that winds through Haldimand County ~ present-day Town of Haldimand~ to empty into Lake Erie at Port Maitland. The families, the river enterprises and settlements (that are in some cases only ghost-towns today) dating back to 1783 make up this 194-page treasure.
We are indebted to the members of The York Grand River Historical Society for their commitment to preserving our fascinating heritage.
