Planting Trees for Posterity ~

KING'S ROAD PUBLIC SCHOOL

Among those participating in the first Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony at King's Road were the Burlington Mayor, Ward 1 Councillor, President of Landscape Ontario, the City Arborist and Haldimand Stewardship Council.

Students were provided with packets of native tree seeds to take home and plant.  The city of Burlington boasts 3,800 hectares of natural wooded areas. Each year another 1000 trees are planted.
