"...I can faintly remember learning the alphabet at her knee. To this day, when I look upon the fat black letters in the primer, the puzzling novelty of their shapes, and the easy good-nature of O and Q and S, seem to present themselves again before me as they used to . . .I seemed to have walked along a patch of flowers as far as the crocodile-book, and to have been cheered by the gentleness of my mother's voice and manner all the way."
~Charles Dickens, David Copperfield

The Neat Little Bookshop will be ten years old on Mother's Day weekend.* Thoughts and memories flood our minds ~ the people we have met and the subjects that we have explored.
There have been many special events but most satisfying has been the flow of fascinating personalities ~ folks who are the very essence of The Neat Little Bookshop.
Thank you for an exciting ten years!
*And that is not counting the years that the original owner, Herb Martindale, published limericks and presided over the first Neat Little Bookshop on Cayuga Street where Progressive Music Studio is now.
