Neighbouring Norfolk

Tomatoes
Cherries

Ginseng Tobacco

Ginseng is replacing tobacco in our neighbouring Norfolk. A striking difference between Norfolk and Haldimand is attributable, I suppose, to the difference in soil. Haldimand clay does not grow exotic crops. Noticable in the beautiful agricultural acreage of Norfolk, in addition to ginseng, is the vast variety of successful fruit and vegetable crops. There remains the decades-successful tobacco ~ apparently on the come-back! ~ and now the alternatives. Field after field of the most prosperous, colourful July crops one can imagine.

Boggy Creek ~ Kissimmee Florida

Travelling on an air boat. Sightings of alligator, bald eagle, ducks, herons, egrets, grazing farm cattle and the strange teacup snails.

Boggy Creek, Kissimmee, Florida ~ We simply have NOTHING like this along the Grand River. On the Grand, we see willows, maples (no moss), fiddleheads, herons, turtles, carp, catfish and Canada geese.

Our customers are clearly aware that we are preoccupied with holiday events. We will share a few of the highlights over the coming weeks!

nichegallery.co.uk: Visit of Queen Mary II to South Queensferry

There is a blog coming out of Edinburgh, Scotland, that we follow.

For those with a piece of their heart in Scotland, this blog is like a visit to the isle. Thank you to the staff of this small shop (it may be larger than we envision) close to the Firth of Forth. The photos that the proprietor shares on-line are reminiscent of our visits to the Borders, one-time home of our Turnbull family.
Check it out. The Niche Gallery has on-line shopping.
